Sacramento, CA. — A fatal crash involving a car and multiple motorcycles in Sacramento caused a significant traffic backup on Highway 50 Sunday, officials said.
According to the California Highway Patrol, one car and 13 motorcycles were involved in the crash. The crash happened around 8:45 a.m. at Stockton Blvd.
CHP said five people were taken to the hospital, and four of them sustained major injuries. One of them died in the hospital, CHP said.
Westbound Highway 50 was partially closed for several hours, but Caltrans said roads are now clear.
No DUI arrests have been reported. All parties involved in the crash are cooperating with officers.
