Fresno, CA – A tragic head-on collision occurred on Highway 33, close to Highway 198, resulting in the deaths of two individuals on Sunday night.
The accident unfolded around 8:40 p.m. when a northbound Lexus traveling at a high rate of speed veered into the southbound lane, colliding head-on with a southbound Honda sedan. The impact was so severe that it caused the driver of the Honda to be ejected onto the roadway. Additionally, the Lexus burst into flames following the crash.
Authorities confirmed that both drivers in the incident were declared dead at the scene. Currently, the exact circumstances that led to this devastating event remain uncertain, and law enforcement officials from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) are actively investigating.
