According to a California Highway Patrol spokesperson, five motorcyclists sustained injuries in the accident, while one, identified as Brian Shaw from Paradise, succumbed to his injuries at a Sacramento hospital. Shaw was a long-time rider and beloved family man, known for his involvement in supporting his local community.
โWeโre all devastated. It’s been 24 hours since we found out, and weโre still trying to regroup and move forward,โ Hawley stated during an interview. He remembered Shaw fondly, describing him as like a brother, as they shared a close-knit circle of friends and frequently gathered for meals and celebrations.
As the community grieves Shawโs passing, the Paradise chapter is taking action to provide support for his family.
