Modesto, CA – A serious head-on collision involving two vehicles took place on State Route 132 near North Hart Rd on Friday night, leading to injuries and a temporary road closure. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the incident occurred around 9:44 PM, roughly one mile east of North Hart Rd.
Emergency responders, including Stanislaus County Fire and AMR, quickly arrived on the scene to assist those injured. Initially, officials classified the collision as a major injury accident; however, they later revised it to a minor injury situation. Paramedics provided evaluation and care for the individuals involved, although it remains uncertain how many needed to be taken to the hospital.
Both vehicles ended up on the north side of the roadway, with debris from the crash partially obstructing the highway. In response, one-way traffic control was temporarily implemented as crews worked diligently to clear the area.
Towing services, including Anderson’s Towing and Four Star Recovery, responded to haul away the damaged vehicles. As for the cause of the collision, authorities have yet to ascertain what led to the crash, leaving the incident under investigation.
