Stockton, CA – A late-night hit-and-run incident involving a semi-truck and another vehicle left one person injured on Interstate 5 South, close to Hammer Lane, as reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Authorities were alerted about the collision around 10:49 PM. A parked semi-truck, situated on the right-hand shoulder, was hit by a fast-moving vehicle, resulting in severe damage. When emergency responders arrived, they discovered a male victim lying on the ground near the crash site.
Additional reports suggest that the individual may have been standing on or in proximity to the semi-truck during the incident. Paramedics from Stockton Fire and Rescue provided immediate medical care on the scene.
As of now, the condition of the injured person remains unverified, and there has been no information released regarding whether the individual was taken to a hospital for additional treatment. The CHP has reached out to local medical facilities to inquire about any walk-in patients related to the accident.
