Rio Dell, CA – A family escaped an overturned car accident on Highway 101, close to Metropolitan Road.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the single-car crash occurred at approximately 12:44 p.m. on Saturday. Witnesses observed a man, a woman, and two children emerging from the overturned vehicle, which came to rest near a ditch.
For reasons still unclear, the driver lost control of the vehicle, leading it off the roadway before it flipped over. An ambulance promptly arrived near Chapman’s Gem and Mineral Shop, where paramedics provided assistance to the individuals involved. However, authorities did not disclose the extent of their injuries.
The cause of the accident remains undetermined, but officials suspect that heavy rain may have contributed to the incident at the time of the crash.
