Smartville, CA - Driver Injured in Solo Vehicle Crash on Hammonton Smartville Road Yesterday

Smartville, CA (September 20, 2025) – A driver sustained minor injuries following a solo vehicle crash on Hammonton Smartville Road on Saturday evening. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the collision occurred around 6:57 PM when a gold Acura lost control and rolled into a ditch. The vehicle came to rest upside down, and the driver initially remained inside the car.

Emergency responders, including the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office and local fire departments, arrived promptly. The driver eventually exited the vehicle and was seen walking through a nearby orchard, covered in mud.

A tow truck was dispatched to remove the vehicle from the ditch. The driver was treated for minor injuries, and no other parties were involved in the crash.

The CHP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
