Fremont, CA (June 8, 2025) – One person was killed when a Honda Civic collided with a tree and overturned on southbound Interstate 880 just north of the Decoto Road off-ramp, the California Highway Patrol reports.
CHP officers and Alameda County Fire crews arrived to find the vehicle on its side; the driver was pronounced dead at the scene by coroner’s personnel.
Investigators continue to examine whether factors such as speed or driver error contributed to the crash.
