Modesto, CA (June 4, 2025) – A woman was critically injured when struck by a northbound Kia Optima on McHenry Avenue near Fairmont Avenue around 9:10 p.m., the Modesto Police Department reports.
She was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and succumbed to them on June 6. The Kia’s driver remained at the scene, called 911, and cooperated fully with officers; no impairment was suspected.
The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
