San Diego, CA (October 20, 2025) – A child was killed and two others were seriously injured Monday morning after a car struck them while they were walking to school near Lake Murray, according to the San Diego Police Department (SDPD).
The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. when a car traveling east on Jackson Drive hit Anne Willow, Jasmine Olsen, and Andrew Olsen at an intersection without a marked crosswalk. All three siblings were taken to Rady Children’s Hospital, where Andrew Olsen was pronounced dead. One of the girls suffered a serious arm fracture, while the other sustained minor injuries.
Police said the driver remained at the scene and tried to help after the crash. Investigators confirmed that speed and impairment were not factors in the collision. The San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division is continuing to investigate.
