According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 3:07 p.m. in the westbound lanes of State Route 4, near the interchange with Interstate 5. All seven vehicles involved sustained extensive damage in the pileup.
Paramedics, fire crews, and other emergency responders were dispatched to the scene to assist those injured. Several people were transported to the hospital following the crash, though their current conditions have not yet been released.
