Stockton, CA (June 15, 2025) – Two men were hospitalized when a motorboat and a sailboat collided near Buckley Cove on the Deep Water Channel, Stockton Police reports.
The crash occurred at about 11:45 a.m. A 64-year-old and a 78-year-old aboard the sailboat sustained serious injuries and were taken to a local hospital; their conditions were reported as critical. A 69-year-old woman on the sailboat declined medical assistance at the scene.
Investigators found no evidence of alcohol involvement and continue to probe mechanical and navigational factors. Anyone involved in a major collision should consider visiting a local pharmacy or drug store to check for internal injury symptoms.
