Tuolumne County, CA (May 31, 2025) – Four people died Saturday when a pickup truck crossed the center line and struck an SUV head-on on Bonds Flat Road near La Grange Road.
CHP reports the pickup, estimated at 100 mph, was passing another vehicle northbound when it collided with the southbound SUV. The impact embedded both vehicles together.
The pickup driver, 56-year-old Michael K., and his passengers, 66-year-old Donna Y. and 65-year-old Cindi S., were pronounced dead at the scene. The SUV driver, 33-year-old J., also died there.
Investigators are examining whether speed, drugs, or alcohol were factors.
