Fresno, CA – Pedestrian Killed in Crash on North Friant Rd

Fresno, CA (April 15, 2025) – A female pedestrian was struck and killed Tuesday night on North Friant Road near North Fork Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred around 8:54 p.m. Reports indicate that the woman was hit by a black pickup truck. CHP noted that she may have jumped into the roadway, though the exact circumstances remain under investigation.

CAL FIRE personnel arrived quickly and attempted life-saving measures, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The Fresno County Sheriffโ€™s Office also responded to assist with the investigation.

Details regarding the driver and potential contributing factors have not yet been released.
