Sacramento, CA – One Killed in Crash at South Watt Ave & Elder Creek Rd

Sacramento, CA (April 17, 2025) – One person was killed Thursday afternoon in a crash at the intersection of South Watt Avenue and Elder Creek Road in South Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred during the late afternoon and involved at least one vehicle. Emergency personnel responded swiftly, but one individual was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities shut down the area while they conducted their investigation and reopened the roadway later in the evening. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released, pending notification of their next of kin.

The CHP has not confirmed whether speed, distraction, or impairment were contributing factors. The investigation remains ongoing.
