Marysville, CA (April 19, 2025) – A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to the hospital following a crash with a pickup truck on Saturday night in Marysville, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at approximately 9:25 p.m. on northbound State Route 70 at the intersection with Ramirez Road. Authorities reported that a GMC pickup truck pulled out from Ramirez Road into the path of the motorcycle, resulting in a severe collision.
Emergency responders from the Marysville Fire Department and CHP arrived quickly at the scene. Due to the severity of the incident, all lanes of SR-70 were temporarily closed to accommodate a medical helicopter, which transported the injured motorcyclist to the hospital.
A Yuba County Sheriffโs deputy also responded to the scene to retrieve a dog involved in the accident and transport it to a nearby animal shelter.
All lanes were reopened by approximately 10:40 p.m. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
