Richmond, CA (May 16, 2025) – A traffic collision involving multiple vehicles left several people injured Saturday afternoon on I-80 Eastbound near Central Avenue in Richmond, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:48 p.m. Emergency crews arrived promptly to assess and treat the injured, though the severity and number of injuries have not yet been disclosed. A variety of injuries were reported, and some victims may have been transported to nearby medical facilities.
While the lane has since reopened, drivers were advised to expect delays as residual congestion continued to clear. The collision occurred on a busy section of I-80, a major route connecting the East Bay with regional hubs.
