Sonoma, CA – 14-Year-Old Critically Injured on College Ave

Sonoma, CA (May 31, 2025) – A 14-year-old boy was critically injured when he was struck by a Honda Pilot on College Avenue at Beaver Street in Santa Rosa.

The crash occurred at about 10:20 p.m. Saturday, the Santa Rosa Police Department reports. The boy, who may have been riding a skateboard, entered the westbound lanes from the north side and was found unconscious in the roadway.

Santa Rosa Fire Department paramedics arrived and transported him to a local trauma center with life-threatening injuries; he was later transferred to another Bay Area trauma center, where he remains in critical condition. The driver remained on scene and showed no signs of impairment. It is unclear whether the boy was in a marked crosswalk at the time.

The Santa Rosa Police Department continues to investigate the collision.
