Compton, CA (August 09, 2025) – A young child was injured in a hit-and-run crash on Saturday night, August 9, in Compton, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The incident occurred around 9 p.m. near the intersection of Queensdale and Bradfield avenues. Deputies report that the child, believed to be approximately 3 years old, was struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene. The child was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive.
Authorities are currently investigating the crash. Deputies are interviewing witnesses and reviewing neighborhood security footage to identify the vehicle and driver responsible.
