Yuba County, CA (October 13, 2025) – A head-on collision near Collins Lake on Monday left multiple people injured, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The crash occurred around 5:15 p.m. on Marysville Road, near Leanne Way, on the northwest side of the lake. A 56-year-old woman driving a silver Toyota Corolla northbound drifted into the southbound lane and collided head-on with another silver Toyota Corolla traveling south.
The woman who veered into the wrong lane suffered major injuries and was airlifted to a Chico hospital. The 53-year-old man driving the other vehicle was airlifted to a Roseville hospital with a broken arm and other injuries. A 36-year-old woman and three children in his vehicle sustained minor injuries and were transported to a hospital in Yuba City for treatment.
Emergency crews closed Marysville Road for nearly two hours while investigating the crash and clearing the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the CHP, and it’s not yet known why the woman drifted into oncoming traffic.
