[02-10-2025] – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-15 in Escondido Causes Major Traffic Disruptions

Escondido, CA — A major traffic collision involving at least six vehicles occurred early this morning on northbound Interstate 15 near Via Rancho So. The crash blocked all lanes due to extensive debris and oil on the roadway, causing significant traffic delays.

Emergency responders arrived promptly to manage the scene. Among the vehicles involved were a gray Honda CRV and a Toyota Prius. While no confirmed injuries have been reported, the status of potential injuries is still under investigation.

The collision created severe traffic disruptions, with two vehicles obstructing the right lanes and others scattered across the middle lanes. Authorities issued a signal alert for approximately 45 minutes to facilitate cleanup and traffic control.

Motorists are advised to remain cautious and expect delays as crews work to fully clear the roadway. Updates will follow as the situation develops.
