San Diego, CA (September 19, 2025) – A solo vehicle crash occurred early this morning on the northbound SR-163, near the SR-163 North I-8 East Connector in San Diego, resulting in major injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The incident was first reported at 12:28 a.m., when a vehicle went off the road. The vehicle was later found off the roadway near the connector, and Scripps Mercy Medical Center was notified to assist the injured party. The victim was transported to the hospital in serious condition.
Emergency services, including Cortes Tow, were dispatched to the scene to assist with the recovery of the vehicle for evidence.
CHP is investigating the cause of the crash, and further details are expected to be released as the investigation continues.
