Los Angeles, CA (September 15, 2025) – A fatal crash occurred early this morning on the westbound SR-134 freeway at Cahuenga Boulevard, resulting in one death. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the collision involved a gray truck and a white SUV, which ended up on its side in the middle lanes.
The incident, which took place around 12:11 a.m., left the male victim lying in the roadway. Emergency services, including the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), quickly responded, but the individual was confirmed dead at the scene.
The CHP requested a hard closure of the freeway, issuing a SigAlert for two hours to allow for investigation and vehicle recovery. Caltrans assisted with the closure and cleanup efforts.
The crash remains under investigation, and CHP is working to determine the cause.
