Fatal Car Accidents in California
Fatal car crashes can leave families struggling with grief, financial burdens, and unanswered questions. Under California law, surviving family members may pursue wrongful death claims to recover compensation for funeral expenses, lost income, and emotional suffering caused by the loss of a loved one.
The statute of limitations in California gives families two years from the date of death to file a wrongful death lawsuit. Acting promptly helps ensure that vital evidence — such as crash reports, witness statements, and vehicle data – is preserved for investigation.
An experienced California car accident lawyer can help determine liability, work with law enforcement, and fight for fair compensation.
