Amador, CA (June 8, 2025) – One person was killed in a solo-vehicle crash on Highway 88 near Inspiration Drive East Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred just before 10:00 a.m. on June 8, when a vehicle traveling along a rural section of Highway 88 crashed with such force that it split in half. Emergency crews responded quickly, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other vehicles were reported to be involved. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
