Sacramento, CA - Mother and Infant Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on SR-51

Arden-Arcade, CA (May 17, 2025) – A motorist was injured when an Acura fleeing a hit-and-run collision with their vehicle on Watt Avenue at the American River Bridge, the California Highway Patrol reports.

The crash happened around 1:38 p.m. Friday when the suspect’s Acura, last seen traveling recklessly southbound just past Highway 50, struck the victim’s car before fleeing north near Folsom. Fire Department medics treated the injured motorist on scene and transported them to a local hospital.

The CHP investigators, aided by camera footage showing front-end damage on the Acura, continue to search for the driver and determine the full circumstances of the collision.
