South Los Angeles, CA (August 18, 2025) – A bicyclist was tragically killed in a hit-and-run crash yesterday at the intersection of South San Pedro Street and East 95th Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
The LAPD received a call around 1:23 a.m. regarding the accident. Officers arrived at the scene and found a man who had been struck by a vehicle while collecting bottles. Preliminary investigations revealed that the vehicle was traveling south on San Pedro Street when it hit the bicyclist and then fled the scene.
The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The LAPD has not yet released descriptions of the suspect or vehicle involved but is continuing to investigate and seek any information that may help identify the driver.
