Long Beach, CA (August 12, 2025) – A car overturned Tuesday evening in a crash on State Route 91 at the Lakewood Boulevard on-ramp in Long Beach. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the incident was reported around 7:06 p.m.
Authorities said a dark gray Honda Civic overturned near a black-and-yellow metal sign on the northbound Lakewood Boulevard on-ramp to westbound SR-91. Witnesses reported seeing a woman, believed to be the driver, walking away from the vehicle after the crash. No immediate hazards to traffic were reported.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene. The on-ramp was temporarily closed while emergency personnel and a tow truck worked to remove the vehicle. At this time, CHP has not released information on possible injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
