Carmichael, CA (April 16, 2025) – A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck by a Toyota RAV4 on Wednesday evening near the 7800 block of Fair Oaks Blvd in the North Sacramento area.
The collision occurred at approximately 8:28 p.m., near a CVS and Volvo dealership, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Emergency personnel responded swiftly, stabilizing the pedestrian at the scene before transporting them to Mercy San Juan Medical Center for critical medical treatment. The patient arrived at the emergency room by 9:05 p.m.
Officials have not yet released the pedestrianโs identity or the full extent of their injuries. Multiple vehicles, including a silver SUV and a white Toyota Tacoma, were observed nearby and may have been stopped in relation to the incident. CHP officers remained at the scene for an extended time to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The cause of the accident is under investigation. Authorities are considering factors such as visibility and vehicle speed. No charges have been reported at this time.
