Castro Valley, CA (July 16, 2025) – An injury was reported after a crash on eastbound I-580 near the Eden Canyon Road off-ramp on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred at approximately 3:49 p.m. and involved a Honda Accord and a Jeep Liberty.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), both vehicles were moved to the right-hand side of the highway after the collision. Emergency responders evaluated those involved in the crash, and at least one individual was transported for medical care. The exact number of injuries and the severity have not been disclosed at this time.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation by CHP.
