Hemet, CA (October 23, 2025) – A child was injured in a hit-and-run accident on Thursday evening near Hemet High School, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The crash occurred at around 5:00 p.m. when a vehicle struck a child near 41701 Stetson Avenue. CHP officials reported that the driver of the vehicle fled the scene after the collision, leaving the child with serious injuries. Paramedics transported the child to a nearby hospital for treatment.
