Crescent City, CA – One Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 199

Crescent City, CA (June 6, 2025) – One person was injured and trapped when the vehicle went off U.S. Route 199 between Patrick Creek and Idlewild, the California Highway Patrol reports.

Del Norte County Sheriff’s deputies and CHP officers arrived to find the car in a ditch. Firefighters extricated the unconscious driver, who sustained a broken arm.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. CHP’s traffic accident unit continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
