Mariposa, CA – A cyclist sustained injuries Saturday morning during an organized bike event in Mariposa County. The incident occurred around 10:53 AM on March 29, 2025, at the intersection of Yaqui Gulch Road and Old Highway, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Emergency responders, including fire personnel and paramedics, arrived promptly at the scene to assist the injured cyclist. The individual was participating in a sanctioned biking event when the crash occurred. The cyclist was transported to Mercy Medical Center Merced for medical evaluation and treatment.
Authorities later confirmed that the cyclist suffered minor injuries.
Checkpoint personnel stationed further along Old Highway assisted in coordinating the emergency response.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation by officers from the CHP Mariposa Area Office. It has not been confirmed whether other vehicles were involved in the incident.
