Pomona, CA (August 11, 2025 – A driver was killed on Monday morning following a crash on the 60 freeway in Pomona. The incident occurred just before 2:30 a.m. near the South Garey Avenue offramp in the eastbound lanes. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), just before 2:30 a.m., a tire came loose from a big rig traveling westbound, flew over the freeway, and smashed through the windshield of a white Lexus sedan, fatally striking the driver.
