Driver Killed in West Covina, CA

West Covina, CA (September 26, 2025) – A fatal accident occurred early Friday morning on the eastbound 10 Freeway near the Pacific Avenue off-ramp in West Covina. One person was killed after being trapped inside a burning vehicle, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The crash was reported just after 3:45 a.m., and it is currently unclear whether a collision occurred prior to the fire. Vehicle debris was scattered along the freeway at the scene.

A SigAlert was issued for the closure of the Pacific Avenue off-ramp for several hours while CHP and emergency responders investigated the cause of the fire.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of this fatal crash.
