Irvine, CA (October 05, 2025) – One person was killed Sunday night in a solo-vehicle crash on southbound Interstate 405 near Laguna Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The crash occurred around 11:33 p.m., when the vehicle struck a sign and the right shoulder wall. Emergency responders pronounced the driver dead at the scene.
The identity of the driver has not been released.
CHP officials are investigating the circumstances that led to the accident.
