West Hollywood, CA (October 17, 2025) – A driver was killed and another person injured early Friday morning after a yellow Ford Mustang collided with a Metro bus on Santa Monica Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD).
Deputies responded to the scene shortly after 1:00 a.m. and found the Mustang heavily damaged. Investigators said the driver had been traveling at a high rate of speed before the crash. Paramedics pronounced the driver dead at the scene.
A passenger in the Mustang sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their condition has not yet been released. Authorities have not confirmed whether any bus passengers were injured. Santa Monica Boulevard remains closed while deputies continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
