Elk Grove, CA – Two Killed in Solo-Vehicle Crash on Waterman Rd

Elk Grove, CA (May 13, 2025) – Two young adults were killed in a solo-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning on Waterman Road near Elliot Springs Drive.

According to the Elk Grove Police Department, the 21-year-old male driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a light pole around 5:00 a.m. Both he and his 21-year-old female passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities believe speed may have been a factor. Waterman Road was closed between Elliot Springs Drive and Sheldon Road during the investigation and reopened shortly before 11:00 a.m.

The victims’ identities have not yet been released. The crash remains under investigation.
