Emeryville, CA (May 16, 2025) – One person was injured Friday morning in a crash involving a Tesla and a white tow truck on Interstate 80 West, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred around 10:00 a.m. when the Tesla was reportedly attempting to move to the right side of the highway and was struck from behind by the tow truck. Emergency crews responded to the scene and provided medical aid to at least one individual who sustained injuries. The injured person was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. The extent of their injuries has not yet been disclosed.
CHP is actively investigating the cause of the crash. Officials have not confirmed whether any citations have been issued.
