Napa, CA – Fatal Collision on SR-128 Near Silverado Trail Claims One Life

Napa, CA (September 05, 2025) – A fatal traffic collision occurred on SR-128, about two miles east of Silverado Trail today at approximately 2:46 a.m. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash involved a vehicle that veered off the road and collided in a wide pullout area.

Emergency responders arrived quickly at the scene. While the CHP initially reported unknown injuries, it was later confirmed that the collision resulted in a fatality. Napa County authorities and other emergency personnel were on-site. Fortunately, no lanes were blocked despite the severity of the crash.

A boat launch and fire response were initiated due to the nature of the incident. The CHP is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
