Folsom, CA (July 16, 2025) – A traffic collision involving a semi-truck and a small sedan occurred early Wednesday morning on westbound Highway 50, near Folsom Blvd in Folsom. The crash took place around 12:16 a.m., sending one person to the hospital.
Emergency crews from the Folsom Fire Department responded quickly to the scene. They treated the injured individual at the scene before transporting them to Mercy Hospital of Folsom for further evaluation. The exact extent of the injuries has not been disclosed.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the semi-truck collided with the sedan under unclear circumstances. The sedan came to rest partially in the No. 1 lane, causing temporary traffic disruptions as emergency responders worked to clear the wreckage and assess the situation.
