Fresno, CA (April 8, 2025) – A heartbreaking crash claimed the life of a young bicyclist Tuesday evening in Fresno. The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Bullard Avenue, just west of Temperance Avenue.
According to Fresno police, the juvenile boy was riding a bicycle when he was struck by a woman driving westbound on Bullard Ave. Emergency responders arrived quickly and began life-saving efforts before transporting the child to a nearby hospital. Tragically, despite their efforts, he later died from his injuries.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Authorities have confirmed that impairment does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
The Fresno Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances leading up to the collision. The child’s identity has not been released pending family notification.
Bullard Avenue remains partially closed between Armstrong Avenue and Temperance Avenue to allow for accident reconstruction and evidence collection. Officials have advised the public to avoid the area or expect delays.
