Fresno, CA - Pedestrian Killed in Crash on North Friant Rd

Fresno, CA (April 15, 2025) – A female pedestrian was struck and killed Tuesday night on North Friant Road near North Fork Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred around 8:54 p.m. Reports indicate that the woman was hit by a black pickup truck. CHP noted that she may have jumped into the roadway, though the exact circumstances remain under investigation.

CAL FIRE personnel arrived quickly and attempted life-saving measures, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office also responded to assist with the investigation.

Details regarding the driver and potential contributing factors have not yet been released.
