Fruto, CA – Four Injured in Rollover on SR-162

Fruto, CA (June 7, 2025) – Four people were injured when a car overturned on State Route 162 west of Fruto, the California Highway Patrol reports.

The crash occurred around 3:45 a.m. Saturday after the driver, identified as 19-year-old Angelica Callahan, lost control and flipped onto its roof. Emergency crews airlifted Callahan to Enloe Hospital with serious injuries.

Three passengers suffered injuries and were transported by ambulance to nearby hospitals for treatment. Callahan was arrested on suspicion of DUI at the scene.

CHP investigators continue to probe what led to the rollover.
