Gold River, CA - Three-Vehicle Crash on Sunrise Blvd Bridge Injures Several

Gold River, CA (April 18, 2025) – A three-vehicle crash involving a van, an Acura, and another unidentified vehicle occurred Friday evening on Sunrise Boulevard at the American River Bridge, northeast of Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision took place around 5:28 p.m. and caused two of the vehicles to stop north of the river, while a third vehicle came to rest on the bridge. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene to assist those involved and assess injuries. At least a few individuals complained of pain, but the full extent of injuries has not yet been confirmed.

Traffic was temporarily disrupted in both directions as officials worked to investigate the cause of the crash and clear the roadway. CHP officers are continuing their investigation and have not released further details about the parties involved or contributing factors to the collision.
