Los Angeles, CAโ Police are actively searching for a Lamborghini driver who fled the scene of a deadly crash involving a Toyota SUV early Monday morning in Hancock Park, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The collision occurred just before 1:30 AM near the intersection of 1st Street and Highland Avenue.
Emergency crews found two people in the Toyota SUV with severe injuries. The female passenger was transported to a nearby hospital but was later pronounced dead, LAPD Officer Cervantes confirmed. The male driver of the Toyota remains in critical condition.
Video footage from the crash scene shows the Toyota severely damaged, its front end resting on a large boulder following the impact.
Investigators believe the Lamborghini was traveling northbound on Highland Avenue, where it collided with the Toyota, which was traveling eastbound on 1st Street.
Following the crash, the Lamborghini driver abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot, prompting a hit-and-run investigation.
