Hayward, CA (May 24, 2025) – One person was injured when two vehicles collided on westbound Interstate 580 near Grand Avenue, the California Highway Patrol reports.
The crash occurred around 7:02 p.m. Saturday when the vehicles impacted in the fast lane. CHP officers and Hayward Fire Department crews responded to the scene.
Paramedics treated the injured motorist at the scene before transporting them to a local hospital for further care. CHP investigators continue to examine the circumstances of the collision.
