Hayward, CA (June 5, 2025) – A 55‑year‑old man was struck by a vehicle and later died, following a crash at Hesperian Boulevard and Longwood Avenue around 10:32 a.m., the Hayward Police Department reports.
The driver, a 62‑year‑old man, remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Police said drugs and alcohol are not suspected factors.
The pedestrian was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on June 15.
An investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
