Riverbank, CA (September 23, 2025) – A hit-and-run traffic collision with injuries occurred Tuesday night on State Route 108 near Crawford Road, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The crash involved two vehicles, including a white Toyota Corolla and a black sedan, with one vehicle reportedly ending up in a canal.
The incident was first reported at approximately 9:43 p.m., when authorities were notified that the black sedan was blocking the roadway and one party appeared to need medical attention. EMS and fire units responded to the scene, and injured individuals were transported to Kaiser Hospital for treatment.
According to the CHP report, the driver of the white vehicle reportedly fled the scene due to mental health concerns but later returned. Towing services from TNT Towing were dispatched to remove the damaged vehicles. The roadway was reopened shortly after the crash.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is investigating the cause of the hit-and-run crash.
