[04-07-2025] – 2 Killed and Infant Seriously Injured in Rollover Crash on 60 Freeway Near Ramona Avenue in Chino

Chino, CAย โ€“ A devastating rollover crash on the westbound lanes of State Route 60 near Ramona Avenue claimed the lives of two individuals and left an infant and another person critically injured early Monday morning. The collision occurred around 2:00 a.m., prompting an immediate response from Chino Valley Fire District and California Highway Patrol units.

Emergency crews arrived to find the vehicle severely damaged and resting on an embankment off the side of the freeway. A California Highway Patrol log noted that responders discovered the infant among the wreckage, leading to a swift transport to a nearby trauma center along with another surviving occupant, both suffering serious injuries.

All westbound lanes of SR-60 were temporarily closed to allow emergency responders to assist victims and clear the crash site. Traffic was diverted for several hours, creating significant delays for early morning commuters through the Chino area.

Authorities have not released the identities of the deceased as next of kin notifications are still underway. The cause of the crash remains under investigation as officials work to determine what led to the tragic rollover.
